I would like to thank all the
Wonderful Clowns who have influenced and inspired me
- To the Clowns who used to busk in the streets of Wellington in 1988 and 1989 who ever they were, and the Clowns who did the shows for Summer City in the Dell at the botanical gardens.I used to come and watch you everyday.Fishing in the fountian and having Clown picnics.I still have a peice of paper that the Clown at summer city gave to me when I asked him how to be a Clown he gave me his performnce script. He was baking a cake really badly and made a HUGE mess!!!!!
- Marcel Marceau I loved Marcel Marceau since I was 12 yrs old. I went to his concert in 1987. I rushed back stage to see him at half time and Marcel Marceau was not impressed as ha was focased and I was rudley interupting.I was the first one backstage at the end of his show (poor Man) and I got his autograph and I touched his arm. Sadly Marcel Marceau died this year and his death was announced on my birthday. I was woken up with friends txting me to tell me of his death. I grieved for Marcel Marceau, I thought of all the days his death could be announced it was special to be on my birthday.
- Patch Adams, there is a wonderful DVD called Patch Adams. The Star of this movie is Robin Williams. Patch believes in humor in healing. I have seen this work in our own Clowning and for me my Clowning has been a healing journey also.
- Slava, Slava brought the Slava snow show to New Zealand. My family brought me a front row seat,Slava is the inspiration for the interactive nature of our show. His show was really like nothing I'd seen before!!!
